What we do

Specialized processing for components that need to keep working.

Hard chrome plating, restoration of worn surfaces, and precision finishing of functional metal components.

Hard chrome plating of components

Hard chrome plating of new and existing components to increase surface resistance, protect against wear, and restore functional performance.

New and damaged components

Restoration of worn surfaces

We restore worn functional surfaces when the base component is still usable, allowing the component to be returned to service.

Functional surface restoration

Chrome plating and precision grinding

We combine hard chrome plating with internal or external grinding to achieve the required dimensions, high dimensional accuracy, and the appropriate surface finish.

Consulting and process selection

We advise on selecting the appropriate processing method and possible chrome layer thicknesses depending on the condition, function, and requirements of the component.

Why hard chrome

When the surface carries most of the load.

On many machine components, the working surface determines how long the component will last. Hard chrome plating is used when the surface needs greater wear resistance, improved functional performance, or restoration of a worn dimension.

This can allow a high-quality and valuable component to be reused instead of being completely replaced.

Wear resistance

For working surfaces exposed to repeated mechanical loads.

Surface restoration

The possibility of restoring worn functional surfaces when such a procedure is technically appropriate.

Longer service life

High-quality restoration can extend the usable life of an existing component.

Applications

For components where surface, dimensions, and durability are critical.

Hard chrome is applied to a variety of functional machine and equipment components where surfaces are exposed to wear, friction, or repeated operation.

  • Piston rods and cylindrical working surfaces
  • Shafts, guides, and similar machine components
  • Rollers and rotating components
  • Machine components exposed to wear
  • Special metal components requiring restoration

Why restore

A valuable component does not always have to become scrap.

When the base component is still in good condition, restoring the working surface can be a more practical choice than manufacturing or purchasing an entirely new component.

Reuse of the component

The existing component is retained when it can be restored to a high standard.

Protection of the working surface

A hard chrome-plated surface is intended for operation under increased wear conditions.

Restoration of the functional surface

The process can be used to return a worn surface to functional condition when the component design allows it.

Longer lifecycle

Restoring high-quality metal components can reduce the need for premature replacement.

How we work

From a component problem to a solution.

01

Send us the details

Send a photo, drawing, basic dimensions, and a brief description of the problem or desired result.

02

Task assessment

We review the request and determine whether hard chrome plating is an appropriate solution for the specific component.

03

Component preparation

The component is prepared for processing according to its condition, geometry, and working surface requirements.

04

Processing and hard chrome plating

The required machining and chrome plating of the functional surface are carried out.

05

Final inspection

After final processing, the component is inspected before being returned to the customer.

Need an assessment?

Send us the component, a photo, or a drawing.

Describe the problem you want to solve and send us the basic details of the component. We will review the request and let you know whether we can offer a suitable solution.
